Student Achievement | Govt. Mizo Higher Secondary School

Govt. Mizo Higher Secondary School, McDonald Hill, proudly announces that Esther Malsawmthari, a student of Class XI, Section ‘A’, has been selected to represent Mizoram at the prestigious Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue 2026, scheduled to be held from 9th to 12th January 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

The selection process commenced on 3rd October 2025, when the MY Bharat Team visited the school and conducted an online assessment for students. Based on her performance, Esther was shortlisted on 8th November 2025 to participate in the essay-writing stage, where candidates were required to choose one topic from the given list. Subsequently, on 11th December 2025, she was invited to deliver a presentation at the Ministry of Youth & Sports Services, MINECO, Aizawl.

Following a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process, 10 participants were selected to represent Mizoram at the national-level dialogue. A send-off programme is scheduled to be held on 5th January 2026 in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram. The delegation will depart from Aizawl on 5th January 2026 at 7:00 PM and is expected to return on 13th January 2026.
