Commemorative Gathering for Sir Taitea
Our school’s Staff Welfare Committee organized a heartfelt event dedicated to honoring and preserving the memory, contributions, and lasting legacy of Sir Zohmingliana (Sir Taitea), our beloved teacher who has left an indelible mark on our institution. This event served as a poignant tribute to a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many within our school community.
The event saw the presence of our entire teaching and non-teaching staff, united in their desire to pay their respects to Sir Taitea. Additionally, family members of Sir Taitea joined us, further emphasizing the profound impact he had on those around him.
During this commemorative gathering, the Staff Welfare Committee extended a remembrance offering, symbolizing our collective appreciation for the time we shared with Mr. Taitea and the valuable lessons he imparted to us.
A series of emotionally charged speeches enriched the event, with contributions from esteemed speakers. Among them were:
- Sir David Zaikhumtluanga, a close friend of the late Sir Taitea and a dedicated teacher at our school. His speech was a touching blend of fond memories and heartfelt anecdotes, capturing the essence of their friendship.
- The wife of Sir Taitea, who shared her personal reflections on her husband’s life and the impact he had on their family.
- Madam C. Lalthangpuii, our school’s principal, who spoke about Sir Taitea’s invaluable contributions to our institution and the educational community.
- Sir Lalnunhluna, our sports convener, who worked closely with Sir Taitea during the peak of our school’s sports achievements. He provided insights into their collaborative efforts and the dedication that Sir Taitea brought to every endeavor.
- Miss Lalrinpuii Hauzel, a classmate of Sir Taitea and a senior teacher at our school. Her perspective shed light on their shared journey through education and the enduring impact of their friendship.
- Finally, Sir Lalrinmawia (RMA), a confidant of Sir Taitea, offered a heartfelt tribute, highlighting the personal qualities that made Mr. Taitea an exceptional teacher and friend.
The event was presided over by Sir Lalnithanga, a senior lecturer at our school, who guided the proceedings with dignity and respect, ensuring that this commemorative gathering served as a fitting tribute to Sir. Taitea’s enduring legacy. It was a day filled with both nostalgia and gratitude, celebrating a life well-lived and a teacher well-remembered. The event was concluded with refreshment from Sir Taitea’s Family.
