GREEN MIZORAM DAY 2025 – OUR NCC @ZOKHAWSANG

On the occasion of Green Mizoram Day 2025, 24 cadets from the NCC unit of Govt. Mizo Higher Secondary School actively participated in the program held at Toofani Hall, 34th Assam Rifles, Zokhawsang.

The event was graced by Hon’ble MLA Baryl Vanneihsangi as the Chief Guest, and Brig. Puspendar Sorayan, DIG & Commander, 23rd Sector Assam Rifles, as the Guest of Honour. The program began with a welcome address by Er. Lalhriatpuia, IAS, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, District Level Sub-Committee on Green Mizoram. Reports and updates on environmental efforts were presented by Mr. Lalnunsanga, IFS, DFO & Member Secretary of the Sub-Committee.

The audience was delighted by a soulful performance by the Ramhlun South YMA Choir. Mr. K. Lalmuansanga, President of ASEP, highlighted the importance of wildlife conservation and awareness campaigns.

The Guest of Honour delivered a short speech and presented awards to individuals for their contributions toward wildlife and forest conservation. He also stressed the importance of preserving our natural resources.

The Chief Guest delivered an inspiring message, followed by a vote of thanks by Mr. Rex Zarzoliana Vanchhawng, SP Aizawl. The program concluded with refreshments provided by the Assam Rifles.

The school expresses sincere gratitude to NCC CPO Sir Thartea and Miss Janet for their guidance and dedication in preparing the cadets for this meaningful event.
