Youth and Eco Club Event: Taking Action Against Plastic Pollution

On April 24, 2025, the Youth and Eco Club of Govt Mizo Higher Secondary School organized a meaningful event under the theme “Generation Restoration” with a focus on Ending Plastic Pollution. Held in Aizawl, Mizoram, the event aimed to inspire students to take leadership roles in environmental conservation.

The program featured an engaging presentation on the screen, highlighting the importance of combating plastic pollution. Students showcased their creativity through a poster-making competition on the theme, with impressive artworks emphasizing ecosystem restoration. The event was graced by the presence of Sir David Zaikhumtluanga and Miss Muanpuii Ralte, who actively participated and encouraged the students in their efforts. We are proud to announce that Grace Lalduhawmi and Angela Lalchhanhim from XII Commerce were awarded for their outstanding poster on the theme, showcasing their dedication and creativity.

A highlight of the day was the insightful speech delivered by Sir TC Zonunmawia, who motivated the students to adopt sustainable practices and contribute to a cleaner, greener future. The event concluded with a renewed commitment from the school community to work together in restoring ecosystems and reducing plastic waste.

We are proud of our students for their dedication to this pressing global issue and look forward to more initiatives from the Youth and Eco Club!
